– OPERATION SAVE OUR SIERRA – “Gyron Eagle” provides airborne support for $1.3 Billion counter drug operation.

Fresno County, California. Patriot Technologies Group, (PTG) LLC publicly announced today their participation in Operation Save our Sierra (SOS) which utilized Wolfe Air’s “Gyron Eagle”, a highly modified Cessna 337, as an airborne surveillance camera platform. Authorities stated that the raids on illicit marijuana farms have yielded more than $1.3 billion worth of the crop.
A previously confidential operation announced today by Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims and the Honorable Gil Kerlikowske, the White House Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), Operation “Save Our Sierra” has been an ongoing two week multi-agency law enforcement operation to impact the illegal growing of marijuana on public lands. The largest operation of its kind in the history of Fresno County, Operation SOS has resulted in the eradication of over 300,000 marijuana plants and more then 82 arrests to date.
